Lois Reese

Music Director

(757) 595-1313

Lois is a native of Reading, PA. That means she knows how to make the best German potato salad on the
east coast and also knows a good cheesesteak when she sees one. Leading others in the joy of singing,
ringing, and drumming is living her dream. She has been the music director at HPC since 2006, taught
classroom music for 20 years, and now leads students to a better life through aqua fitness. In the fall of 2018
she founded High Notes Music School at HPC to bring the joy of making music to people of all ages in the
community. She lives with her husband, Al, who is also a full-time musician (and connoisseur of puns) and
has two dogs from the island of St. Croix, named Prancer and Vixen.

Doris Slagle

Organist

Doris Slagle and her husband, Charles, have been members of Hilton Presbyterian since 1972. In August, 1999, Doris began as interim organist and accepted the organist position in 2000. Before joining the HPC staff, Doris taught middle school math in Newport News and worked part-time as a tutor in the AVID program.

Doris earned her BS from King College in Bristol, TN, majoring in mathematics; she took organ lessons while attending college and sang in the a capella choir. She also studied under Brad Norris of St. Andrews Episcopal Church for two years before becoming organist at HPC.

She and Charles are proud parents of a son, Eric, who lives with his wife, Angie and their three children, Aidan, Emma, and Rose; and a daughter, Angela and her husband, Nat.

Kurt Manos

IT Director

Kurt was born in Miami, Florida but grew up in the Northeast. Upon seeing his first computer at age 12, he was bitten by the technology bug. With over forty years of computer-related work under his belt, he worked for seventeen years as IT Director for a company in Islamorada, Florida where he wrote the touch screen app that was indispensable to operations. Kurt has worked in all areas of computers, from programming to network design, to website design and maintenance, to all facets of repair. We are grateful to St. Andrew's for sharing him, and are so fortunate to have him protecting and advising us at HPC!

R. Lucille Massenberg

Custodian

Lucille has been a part of HPC ever since her husband, Wilbert, joined the staff. After 40 years of service, Wilbert is no longer with us but Lucille has stayed on. The Massenbergs have made Hilton PC a lifelong mission of which we are honored and grateful.
